The Numbering System Enters the Thousands!
Long-Time Esti-Mystery Fans will notice that the numbering system looks a little different now. The files are now numbered in the thousands! So, what happened?
When I started creating daily Esti-Mysteries, you might remember that it was a very difficult time for all of us around the world, and I made a promise to create a new resource for my blog readers (nearly) every day of the school year. I emailed every day with a new resources and let you know “I’m sticking with you every day!” From that time on, I created a lot of Esti-Mysteries, at every level – and I kept creating the next year… and the year after that. And the numbers grew…
When I started, the numbering system didn’t seem like it would ever run out of room.
The 100 Level Esti-Mysteries were for grades 1-2, and they had file names like this: 100, 101, 102, … 145, 146, 147 …
The 200 Level Esti-Mysteries (for grades 1-3) had file names like this: 200, 201, 202, …
That all worked fine until…
That all worked fine until the Esti-Mysteries reached numbers like this… 196, 197, 198, 199 … ???
At that point, I realized the Esti-Mystery after 199 couldn’t be numbered 200, because that was already used at a different level. So, this year I continued the numbering system with 4-digits.
The Esti-Mystery Numbers Pick Up Where Last Year Left Off
They simply begin with the level number in the thousands place.
